Closing up 2016 with a free English class for taxi drivers #28 on 16 December 2016 at Ibis Bangkok Riverside Mrs. Yuvadee Niranthakul Director of Market Research, Tourism Authority of Thailand was a guest lecturer speaker " Thailand Tourism " following with English class by Ms. Patima Wongthaichareon during the class Mr. Fedric hotel manager of ibis Bangkok Riverside join the class as a role play tourist.

On 13th March,2015 The Erawan Group PLC., organized the 23st WELCOME GUIDE to THAILAND,a free English Class for taxi drivers, at Ibis Sathorn hotel. The class was lectured by Mr.Ric Taymans so that the class attendants would be familiar with the accent and keen to speak with foreigners.

Free foreign language class for taxi Project by The Erawan Group Public Company Limited (Thailand) organized a by requested Mandarin class. The class was an intensive 2 days learning of daily uses of Mandarin. Today the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Thailand is increased in a great number. The Company invited a native Mandarin speaking Miss Wanya to teach taxi drivers of a proper communicate on a daily basis. This class received the significant attention from taxi driver.

The Erawan Group Public Company Limited organized the 21st Welcome Guide to Thailand at the Ibis Riverside Bangkok Hotel. The activity is a free English class for taxi drivers.

This time, class was upscale by learning English with foreigner MR. ERIC TAYMAN so that the class attendants would be familiar with the accent and to have courage to speak with foreigners.

A free English class for taxi drivers by The Erawan Group Public Company Limited held for the 20th time on March 1, 2013 at the Donmueang Bangkok International Airport. The program aims to develop English speaking skills of taxi drivers.

The Erawan Group Public Company Limited held a free English class for Don Muang Airport taxi drivers on 23 November 2013. Wing Commander Songsak Tangtong, deputy director of Bangkok International Airport presided to open the training.

The first part of the class was a talk on the importance and role of taxi drivers to the tourism industry by Ms. Yuvadee Nirattrakul Director Marketing Research, Tourism Authority of Thailand. The later part was an English for taxi drivers by Ms. Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click institute.

The Erawan Group Public Company Limited held a free English class for Don Muang Airport taxi drivers on 12 October 2013.

The first part of the class was a talk on the importance and role of taxi drivers to the tourism industry by Ms. Sasi-arpa Sukontharat former Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Seoul Korea . The second part was an English for taxi by Khun Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click institute.

The Erawan Group held a free English class for Don Muang Airport taxi drivers on 1 June 2013. The first part of the class was a talk on the importance and role of taxi drivers to the tourism industry by Ms. Yuvadee Nirattrakul, Director of Marketing Research, Tourism Authority of Thailand. The second part was a briefing on tourist attractions in Bangkok by Mr. Preecha Sangkajai from Professional Tourist Guide Association of Thailand. The event ended with an English for taxi driver by Khun Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click institute.

The Welcome Guide to Thailand Project has been held since 2008. The main objective of the project is to develop English speaking skills to those involved in the tourism industry such as taxi drivers, tricycle drivers. Also aims to promote domestic tourism and to build a good image to foreign tourists. Lastly,to persuade taxi drivers attitude of being good host and to have them to realize that they play an important part in driving the tourism industry in the country.

On 16 March 2013 The Erawan Group Public Company Limited held a free English class for Don Muang Airport taxi drivers . The first part of the class was a talk on the importance and role of taxi drivers to the tourism industry by Ms. Yuvadee Nirattrakul Director of Marketing Research, Tourism Authority of Thailand. The second part was English for everyday use for taxi drivers by Khun Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click institute.

The activity was under the Welcome Guide to Thailand Project #14-15.The class divided into 2 parts, the first part was a talk on the importance and role of taxi drivers to the tourism industry by Ms. Yuvadee Nirattrakul Director Marketing Research, Tourism Authority of Thailand. The second part was an English for taxi by Khun Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click institute.

Airports of Thailand PLC., by Mr.Ittipol Boonaree Vice president Rescue and Fire Fighting Department Suvarnabhumi Airport coordinated with Kamonwan Wipulakorn President of The Erawan Group PLC., organized English classes for the Operation of Fire Fighter Officer of Suvarnnabhumi Airport on 14 and 21 March,2012. The English Class is under “Welcome Guide to Thailand Project which is part of Social Contributions of The Erawan Group.
September 24, 2011 The Erawan Group Public Company Limited held an English class to members of the Suvarnabhumi Airport Taxi. The seminar was under the Welcome Guide to Thailand Project #10. There were 2 parts of the seminar, the first one was about how to introduce tourist attractions by Khun Preecha Saengkajai Senior Honorary Guide from Professional Tour Guide Association of Thailand. The second part was an English for taxi by Khun Patima Wongthaichareon from Language @ Click. The main objectives of the project are to develop English speaking skills and to be good host to promote tourism in Thailand

At this time the class not only teaching English but also add the knowledge of the Chao Phraya River and other main riverside attractions to educate and promote tourism to taxi drivers. The instructors for this class were Ms. Patima Wong -Thaicharoen of language @ click and Ms. Ploenpit Sukon , a freelance tour guide.

Upon completion of the training, a commemorative photographs were taken with Ms. Kamonwan Wipulakorn, the Executive Vice President of The Erawan Group PLC.

The 7th English program for taxi drivers, which aim to welcome tourists, held at Ibis Nana hotel on October 2, 2010. Apart from the main objective to improve English communication skill of taxi drivers, the program also focuses on ethics morality and tourists care as a family to create the impression and a positive attitude to tourists which will eventually boost tourism to the country.

Course has changed from the original, this time the course emphasis on learning English from the major tourist attractions. In addition to the knowledge of English it can also point out the value of historical and ancient monuments to Thai. At the end of the training , the company contributed a self practice English CD to the participants because language learning will effective from practice regularly.

Welcome guide to Thailand Project is a project for developing English skill and service minded to Tuk-Tuk and taxi drivers in order to impress their foreign tourists.

The Erawan Group has run the project for six times in two consecutive years, from the year 2008 to 2009. The handbook is now improved for easy understanding. Our 6th Welcome Guide to Thailand was held on 26th September 2009 with cooperation from Prince of Songkla University in supporting proficient foreign lecturers. Our attendants are satisfied and impressed with this project.

The 7th English program for taxi drivers, which aim to welcome tourists, held at Ibis Nana hotel on October 2, 2010. Apart from the main objective to improve English communication skill of taxi drivers, the program also focuses on ethics morality and tourists care as a family to create the impression and a positive attitude to tourists which will eventually boost tourism to the country.

In 2009, the said English course is continued to carry on every three months. The company also develop context to fit the needs of Tuk- Tuk and taxi drivers.

Simulation was held for the first time with our special guest who is a staff from Ibis Hotel, one of The Erawan Groups business.

Our participants were satisfied with coffee and snack supported from Starbuck Ploenchit branch.

Welcome guide to Thailand Project by The Erawan Group is a project for developing English skill and good attitude to Tuk-Tuk and taxi drivers. Warmly and friendly service which impress foreign tourists will create a good impression to Thailand. The project is held for the first time on 14 June 2008 at 6th floor, Ploenchit center with Tuk-Tuk and taxi drivers attained without any expenses. The second Welcome guide to Thailand project by The Erawan Group will be held in this coming August.
