From Food Waste to a Valuable Resource
Sustainability starts with the way we manage everyday resources. At Novotel ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit 4, we conducted an employee engagement activity to transform eggshells into organic compost for use in the hotel’s Herb Garden.
The initiative focused on strengthening proper waste segregation by separating eggshells from food waste and demonstrating how organic waste can be transformed into a useful resource for our plants.
Beyond reducing organic waste, the activity aims to:
- Promote responsible waste segregation and resource management
- Raise environmental awareness among employees
- Encourage practical, sustainable actions in the workplace
- Support the circular use of organic materials
By turning a simple waste material into natural fertilizer, we are taking a practical step toward reducing waste, creating value from resources, and embedding sustainability into everyday operations.
